I was just wondering, are Claire and Charlie a couple or not?
I never saw them kiss or anything, but they keep on playing mom&dad to little Aaron.
What's up with that?
Could be I missed something from the show, so please tell me so I know too! Lol... :-)

I don't know what to think about them. They do act like a couple without all the kissing and making out. I don't think they have ever said on the show if they were a couple or not. Sorry, I know as much as you do. I hope you find your answer.

I think Claire knew that something was wrong, may she knew he was going to die. Desmond did tell her about his flashbacks at one point so she knew Charlie was doing all that to save her, so she has to know that something is going to happen.

Yeah, and she seemed a bit disinterested in the fact that Charlie was going to plunge to the bottom of the Ocean....She really didn't seem that shook up over it. I don't know that Claire likes Charlie in that manner, I think that Charlie was just so into Claire that he kind of pushed his way into that relationship....Can we call this ship the Chair(Charlie - Claire) ship?

Hes dead. We saw him drown. In an interview with the producers they explain why they killed him off. So he is definitley gone. Dominic Monaghan no longer works on the show.

I think they have kind of a platonic relationship because of different reasons:
Claire and Charlie met when Claire was eight month pregnant from another man - so they hadn't a chance to start a 'normal' relationship. And as time passes by its harder and harder to turn friendship into relationship (as we have also seen with Jack and Kate). Moreover Claire gave birth to Aaron just about two months ago - not the time a woman is thinking about having a sexual relationship. We also mustn't forget that Claire had disappointing experience with men and because of that she needs a lot of time to trust another man. And Charlie did indeed disappoint her again (think of the whole drug thing).
Besides, they already kissed at the end of Season 2 at the campfire on the beach (sorry, don't know exactly which episode).
But now that Charlie is dead I think she realises what she felt for him and it will be a real shock.

I think so too. I don't think that she was really into having a relationship, and that's why she seemed so distant from Charlie at times, but now that he's gone, I think it's going to hit her pretty hard.

It is obviously a coincidence but I met my other half when she was 7 months pregnant. A month from when Charlie and Claire met. He was a drug abuser, i used to take drugs when i was younger. He plays in a band, i own rubber bands. Coincidence, or fate. As long as i don't drown anytime soon i'll go with coincidence.
