I dont know if this has been brought up but a chat room might be useful to bounce ideas off of each other in a real time format

It's not that it's not a great idea...There really aren't enough members or traffic to have a successful chat room...A shout box would make more sense on a forum. Still though, anything entered into the shoutbox wouldn't be visible to search engines, or the rest of the world...So it wouldn't benefit the forum to have one....If you guys really want one, though, I can't tell you no...It's your forum too.

It makes no difference to me if we have one or not. It was only a passing thought I had. Sometimes I notice someone on the foroum that left a post that I might want to comment on but dosnt really warrant leaving a full message on the board about and thought it might be useful to be able to start conversations from that context. If it is not benefical to the site as a whole its certainly not a major issue to leave it off of here.

sidenote: in case your intrested jj I get here through google and this site originally came up on the first page of the search but it has recently slipped to the second page

what did u type into google JAF? when i type in "lost forum" this site is the second one that pulls up on the first page...

oh. okay. but if there is a shoutbox, just to chat with other people, you might have to take it off on show nights because people might overuse it or spam it

Thanks JAF...I actually just recently started working on "lost message board" a month ago..We'll move up and down several times a day sometimes...But thanks for looking out...

That's great news too....We were at third position most of last season, and fell to 6 over the summer...Being at number 2 is a great accomplishment...Staying there will prove to be even more of a challenge. If we can get to the number one spot, that would be the best thing that's happened in a long time...Yesterday we were at position 3, day before yesterday, it was position 4....And last week, it moved between position 4 and 6, but mostly stayed at position 5....

I don't know if any of you know what goes into promoting a site, but a lot goes into it.....So it's really exciting for us to be at number 2 for "lost forum".

Okay, on topic.....I'll be looking at installing a shout box, as long as no one has any problems with it, and it stays clean...

Ben, I've got the same problem as you do. I can't type anything anywhere near the shout box. I am using Firefox though.. So it's not just a problem for ppl who use EI...
