episode child boards

I have a suggestion for the site, under lost episode discussions, you can specify which season, but under this there are just threads, so there is always one thread called "season x episode x one of them- episode discussion", and lots of other smaller threads about specific bits in that episode, which is kind of annoying.
Couldn't there be child boards for each episode, or at least no general thread for the episode?

idk. it would take a lot of time to move all the threads to their induvidual boards. so are you saying you want it to go:
-episode discussion
-Season 4
-Eggtown
-The Constant
-The Other woman
that would take quite a while. and that decision is up to crystal and JJ. because im not sure i even know how to create new boards, but i can move threads and stuff

ah rite I see there is the google reasons and stuff. Thinking again I guess its nice to see all the season 4 threads at once, but could we forget about "episode discussion" specific threads?
The reason is its nice to have all the info/posts in one place:
eg- I want to see posts about ep 5 the constant- the friend on the boat
but I have to look in two threads- "Season 4 episode 5 The Constant, discuss episode 6 here" and "Friend on the Boat".

hmm...i see what you mean. but we kinda start the episode discussion threads for those small details that dont really deserve a thread of their own. and those threads arent about one topic. they are just a bunch of little things about the episode that stuck out. usually there is one specific thread for every point of interest in each episode. i wonder what everyone else's opinion is.

i actually really like the idea of a child board for each episode. but i dont know a whole lot about web sites and stuff, so i dont know how much work that would be or anything.
in that other thread you mentioned ben, didnt JJ say something about it creating too much traffic? or something of the sort

there can never be too much traffic. its just the opposite.
talking about the homoepage, he said there were a lot of links. and if there are too many than the search engines start picking and choosing which links from the home page show up in search results. So i dont think it would make too big of an impact on traffic if we made more child boards on a separate page

now that i think about it, it would be a pretty cool idea to have a separate child board for each episode. but i dont think we would have the time to go back and do it for the first 3 seasons. maybe only from here on out

right. and some threads are made for episodes in the past with info about future episodes. if someone was watching on DVD and just watched eggtown. they go to that board and see some info about the constant in a thread. they would probably be mad.

i understand where you guys are coming from, The way we have it is an easier way to manage it. Not to say that we wouldn't be willing to change it, but the problem is, I don't know how. Another is like JJ said, it will slow down the traffic, google does not see those threads and they do not get picked up in the search engines. This is the way JJ wanted it, so I am going to do what he would want. I have to anyway, cause i don't know how to change anything.
