Does anybody know how to get the sound back on your computer.If i play a video on the internet i can't hear any sound.but i go to play music from windows media player i can hear it.Can anybody help me?

by the internet you meen a downloaded video? if so then try updating your codec's or download a program called video lan it plays almost everything as it comes with its own codecs

could be maybe you need an update on your win media player, what version is it? there is a upgrade pack on the net some ware that give afew upgrades

do you use windows xp?
if so win xp comes with version 8 installed here is a link if you wish to download version 11 or try downloading the codec pack for media player(link below)

this may sound stupid but is your keyboard muted?? sometime depending on the setting it wont mute everything. i figured id throw it out there. i doubt thats it

You should check and see if you have your sound muted for your browser. I know on my vista there are sound options for all windows you have opened. Check the volume options on your windows taskbar
