On the home page it gives all the links for "off topic" ; "general discussion" and the other ones. Its a pain sometimes to have to click on episode discussion and then have to click on the child board for the individual seasons on the next page. Can you put a link for each child board underneath episode discussion on the main page? it would make things a whole lot easier for those with slow internet

I could, but that would slow down the traffic that we get from Google....By a lot...Obviously, it's not my decision to make alone, so now that you know my reason for hiding the sub-forums, what do you think we should do?

I don't understand, how can that slow down the traffic from Google?

I actually have been thinking the same thing Ben, but for me it doesn't have to be changed. I can live with it.

Because, when you have too many links on a single page, the search engines begin picking and choosing ones to pay attention to, and it ignores all the rest. I think we used to have 150 links on our home page, now it's about 50 or 60....So if I were to add more links, then the important links would be overlooked, and we wouldn't appear for nearly as many search terms as we do now.

Okay. I was trying to figure out some way to divide the forum up a little bit more so that we can have the important Lost forums all on one page, off topic stuff on another page, and other topics on their own pages. I haven't found anything yet, but I'll keep looking.

hang on. you dont need to do that. since im a mod now, i have that handy dropdown box that lets be go wherever i want really. its really neat. ill just start using that
