Hello!
I'll tell you my experience.
My boyfriend is now watching lost. And there is a big difference between the way and manner in which we watch it. I try to pay attention to everything that happens to every detail, and I can't stop thinking why they're doing something, why they act that way, and so on. It may be just my analytic mind, I do the same when I read a book. He just watches it, for mere entertainment, and when we finished watching an episode and we talk about it. I always ask if he noticed any detail and he didn't.
Still, it's fun going over the episode again explaining the details he skipped.

i can do both. i try to tell my mom little tid-bits of information after i realize them during the show. she is always like SHHHHHHHHHHHH we're gonna miss somthing
