The others from 815

Hey all, I just rewatched the first 3 seasons and something caught my attention. If this has been discussed please point me in the right direction.

In season 2 we get to meet the the other survivors of 815 from the tail section of the plane. Many of them get taken by Ben and the others. We assume they are dead. However in season 3 they all show up on the other island to Juliettes trial where she gets branded. They ask Jack how anna lucia is and then walk away. They all seem very happy and now just part of the others.
We then see the stewardress and the 2 kids again later in season 3 talking to Locke as if they had been there for ever. They all just happily follow Ben around with out question or intrest in the other survivors or getting off the island! WTF is up with that? Huh

Wasn't the stewardess (Cindy?) one of the others all along - even when she was on the plane from the very beginning?

Me theory on this is that they are brainwashed
remember carl in season 3 getting Brainwashed?
Im thinking they do that to everyone to they like, trust the others and stuff

what dya think ?

I don't think the brain washing theory is right. There is no indication that anyone there has ever been brain washed. With the exception of Carl but that was only to keep him away from Bens daughter as he did not want her to become pregnant on the island. Ben rules them with fear and deception. Though i guess anything is possible......
