Hey fellow Sawyer fans, this could have some promising celebrity cameos....
New York City playwright Josh Halloway’s metaphysical romp LOST: How a Certain TV Mega Hunk Stole My Identity provides a humorous take on Halloway’s curious problem: a shared name with star of ABC’s hit TV series “Lost,” Josh Holloway. The play, which will be performed at the Cherry Lane Theatre as part of this year’s Fringe Festival, also stars Halloway, and features a combination of live performance, elaborate multi-media, and celebrity video cameos.
The play is a satirical version of Halloway’s life as a “pre-eminent Jewish Monologist” looking for his lucky break. But when he learns that his identity has been poached by America’s Favorite bad-boy, he embarks on an epic journey (through stage and screen) to get it back.
Halloway’s play is presented by critically-acclaimed comedy ensemble MOVIE GEEK, whose sold-out 2005 FringeNYC Hit (also called Movie Geek) took home the award for “Outstanding Multi-media Production” and featured celebrity cameos by Bill Cosby, Kathleen Turner, and Henry Winkler. This Summer, Movie Geek begins a six month residency at Ars Nova as part of their “Thursdays at Ten Series.”
LOST: How a Certain TV Mega Hunk Stole My Identity co-stars Dylan Dawson and Victoria Freed, is directed by Andy Donald, and is produced by Cori Silberman and Brittany O’Neill.
