My first impression was that she was drugged or something - she seemed a bit spaced out to me. I don't think Christian would've killed her, but that's not to say nobody else has.
Maybe they thought that if Claire was there and evidently not scared of Christian/the cabin, then it would convince Locke to do what he says. I mean, Claire has never really gone for the whole weirdness of the island before so if she's on board then maybe Locke would think it wasn't all that bad?

yeah that was my first thought too, that she was drugged.
and midget maybe the reason Cristian said they were meant to be apart, because for him thats better. but for the good of everyone else claire is supposed too

Does anyone have episode 9? If you watch it again, after Sawyer carries Clair e into the house, no one ackowledges her. Sawyer does and speaks about her, she does not speak, and no one speaks to her. I don't have episode 10 to rewatch, to see if the pilot speaks to her. And if Miles speaks to her, he speaks to the dead anyway. I'm just saying - kinda like the sixth sense, you just assume everyone sees her.

It's really neat when you watch it again, to see that no one hugs her or even talks to her. But the thing is according to the previews, Sawyer tells Kate, "she didn't make it." So maybe Miles will tell Sawyer she was dead, the only reason you could see her was because.......IDK. Or maybe they just shot the show that way, so we would think what were thinking. I guess we will find out tomorrow. YAY!
