I thought one of the best moments of the season, was seeing the Searcher on the side of the rescue boat. I actually jumped out of my chair, and said OMG it's Penny. Now I'll spend all Summer wondering if Penny knows about her Father's connection to the island, and how it affects what happens to her and Desmond.

I think penny must have some idea
thats why he isnt helping her find des because he knows that des is on the island
penny and Des are hiding from mr W, thats why they didnt go with the other O6

I loved that scene too....Des got his 'happy ending' well for right now anyway haha
I dont know if they are hiding or not, but probably not hanging around Charles all that much...
When Sun met Mr W and gave him her card, she also said something along the lines of.....not only us survivors got off the island, but you knew that, right? So obvisouly he knows that Des got off too.

call me crazy, but i don't think Desmond and Penny are going to have a whole lot to do with season 5. They'll probably show up a 1/4 or a 1/2 way through the season as a way to write them back in. I just think the writers have a HUGE story to tell with the Oceanic 6/Jeremy Bentham thing going on.
That, coupled with all the unanswered questions, will make for a busy LOST season next year.....

I think that we will see a lot of them, b/c we know the Ben has threatened to kill Penny as payback for Alex being killed.
Des won't leave Penny's side again, so Ben will be hunting them both down.

I think Penny & Desmond will be hiding out... remember Jack said to him "Don't let them find you Desmond..." just before they left in the lifeboat to go to Membata.
The start of the next season will def be focussed on the O6 and Locke etc but I have no doubt that Des & Penny will turn again soon.

But at the end when ben said "All of you need to go back" im guessing that refers to penny and Des aswell

The other piece that we are forgetting is that Daniel is out there in the zodiac raft, and as we know "If anything goes wrong, Desmond Hume will be his constant" So my guess is that Desmond is going to have to return the favor Daniel did him- so i think that will be a factor early on in season 5.

The scene where des and penny were reunited I felt that it was just too much, it didnt have an effect on me, the camera spent far too long on them too...
Dont get me wrong i think they have a good storyline, considering who penny's father is, but I just find both of them tedious.

Stacy, I'd forgotten about the fact that Desmond is Daniel's constant. There's a good chance that will pop up again in the future. They HAVE to return to this time-jumping thing, "The Constant" was high up there with the fans fave episodes!
