Okay. So did anyone notice that Richard looks the same as he did when he met Juilet? And the same as he does on the island?! Like he doesn't age. He was about 35 or so when he was lookin in on john in the hospital...the same at his house.....then 40 some years later...the same.... time traveler?
Second: I think everyone is able to time travel like Desmond did, but they are unaware of it? Possibly?

yeah, i was doing further research on Richard and he is theoretically based on a Dr. that went to harvard that studied spirtualism in India. There he was given a name that translates to "Servant of God." Found that very interesting. I just started researching more into lost, its become a passion/obsession more than just a guilty pleasure. lol
Yes, Richard is definitely aware of his powers.

right technically he could be dead and thats why he doesnt age. ive thought about that before. of course thats not as interesting as someone who doesnt age but its still more plausible!

maybe richard was born and the island and ben wasn't which would mean that richard wouldn't age while ben would if its something to do with the island

I hadn't thought about him being dead before but it makes so much sense now cos they say that when people die, their spirits live on in the same age they died at so that's possible.

Okay, if Richard is dead what I don't understand is how would john's foster mom see him? I mean I maybe being naive, or didn't catch something, but that wouldn't make sense to me. Like when Jack saw his dad in the office, the other doctor didn't see him. ...i dunno

I dont think hes dead because if I can recall when Ben first met him as a kid he had long hair and I'm not sure if dead people can grow and cut their hair?

Does anyone think that John's Grandmother (Emily's mother) reacted strangely upon seeing Richard at the hospital? When the nurse asked if he was the father, she looked as if she recognized him but said, "I have no idea who he is."
Do you think she knew Richard somehow? Maybe Richard is John's grandfather (Emily's dad). Or maybe Anthony Cooper isn't really John's dad, and Richard is. It just seemed strange to me (well really my wife noticed it first, and she's better at reading those kind of things) the way she reacted to his presence at the hospital.
