Do you think she knew Richard somehow?  Maybe Richard is John's grandfather (Emily's dad).  Or maybe Anthony Cooper isn't really John's dad, and Richard is.  It just seemed strange to me (well really my wife noticed it first, and she's better at reading those kind of things) the way she reacted to his presence at the hospital.

Yeah I def agree with you. I noticed she reacted a little funny. It was shock/disbelief. so yeah I think he's involved w/ the family some how. I know that Emily said her boyfriend was a lot older than her. Richard is older than Emily...so maybe its Locke's real dad? And that's why Richard is so interested w/ john?

I'm starting to believe Richard is alive and kicking!

check out "BEN LOST his way?" post regarding my theory...

Richard is alive, when he recruits Ben he has long hair...
that was when he was younger (LOL),
If Richard was indeed involoved in the "guidance" of various Losties (all of them? some of them? and most importantly - is there a mole? could it be Claire? if not -Who???)

Richard knows more about the Island, he is silent and deadly - he must be the real king of the jungle.

to me, him being dead would make sense. not saying if he is or isnt, i dont know.

i noticed her reaction towards richard too. it definitely looked like she knew him.

I dunno if she knew who he was, I wasn't thinking that initially, I just thought she looked surprised but also kinda freaked out that some random guy was looking at the baby through a window

That was my initial reaction too, but my wife saw a different look.  Would it really have been that shocking for a stranger to be looking into a hospital nursery?  I didn't notice if there were other babies around, but people look at babies in hospitals.  I can't imagine why she reacted as she did unless she knew him somehow.

I guess as always we'll have to just wait to find out if there is a connection between Richard and Locke's family.

Maybe one of the properties these people posses is tha ability to be any age they want at any time they want. That is why walt looks older and richard looks the same and ben has changed too by his own choice.

But im sure if you can fake a plan crash i wouldnt be hard to fake some blood test results now would it??

and yeah if Charlie is a ghost and cut his hair and that other person saw him at the hospital where Hugo was then why cant other ppl see richard too??

and another point, when he had short hair when Locke was born, that was a long long time before Ben first met him in the jungle so he has gone from short to long and back to short!!

well i think im gonna keep a very open mind! anythings possible!!

they'd still have to have fairly similar DNA for the transplant to be successful though and they're most similar through family so i dont know how well that one would work..but its still an interesting theory

i have a strong feeling the others can go anywhere (ben appearing in the middle east)

or any time (richard popping up in multiple times un-aged.)

maybe someone like jacob told all the others that there would be a special child born when and whereever john was and they sent richard to look for him.  kind of like a prophecy type thing
