What happens after the 6 leave the island?

It is mentioned that bad things happen after the 06 leave the island.... I'm betting that Locke's style of dictatorship doesn't sit well with the others and the rest of the losties. During the 3 years there's a new purge to overthrow Locke. I bet this is why he ends up leaving the island in the future.

What do you think happens after the 06 leave?

I agree with that, the others dont like him and they overthrow him
making him leave

OR

jacob ties into this and decides that locke isnt a good leadder, MAYBE wanting richard to be leader

OR

The Losties have world war 2 against the others

OR

there are side effects of the moving of the island, bens aid something about being dangerous and only used as a last resort

I think that without the rest of the survivors on the island all of the "good" qualities just stopped. That it was fate that brought flight 815 there and that the island does in fact need those survivors for some reason.

Hmmm... Lots of bad things can happen, maybe smokie will lose it after his master Ben left lol;).
I think the others will accept him as there leader though, I just don't think the Losties will. Maybe Locke will go crazy because the Losties wont listen to him, and will become a dictator and try to kill all of them who wont listen to his authority.

Rose will definitely not be a Locke follower.... And Bernard won't since Rose will tell him not to....Those two will most likely look toward Sawyer....

I think Juliet would follow Sawyer too instead of Locke. This means there will be two camps, Jacob will tell Locke that he needs to do something about it. Then there will be a war to purge out Sawyer's group, and that's why bad things will happen...

Shouldn't the rest of the survivors give Locke some slack since he was proven to be 100% correct.

I don't think the Others will go against Locke all that easily. Let's not forget that Richard has been trying to "recruit" Locke since he was born, he's like the chosen one, so I think they'll probably hang on his every word. There really must be something MAJOR gone on which results in Locke being off the island.

I also think that whatever has gone on must affect Sawyer, Juliet, etc cos if it was just Locke & The Others then I don't think the O6 (Jack & Hurley) would be so desperate to go back to help them.

When we get back to the Island in Feb.2009, Ben will have transported to the desert, and Locke has been told he is to meet up with Richard and lead the Others. It that correct?
We have already heard Sawyer tell Jack that Locke was right about the mercs. So I would think there would be no reason for there to be two camps.
The remaining Losties are going to look to Sawyer to lead, and I think he will throw in with Locke, who one would assume would be taking his people back to "New Otherton", since the immediate threat has been vanquished.

My reasoning for Sawyer joining up with Locke is it will be easier for him to know what Locke is up to if he is close by, rather than roughing it down on the beach.

i think that locke will be as mysterious as the others now, and the two groups will not have problems with each other, but they will not hang out either
