WOW =O
thats sooo cool!
what's it like in Israel
is it really like what it's preceived to be on the news
like violence and stuff ilike that ?
Israel is basically the U.S. packed into an area the size of Jersey. With less gang crime. The violence is mainly isolated in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank primarily, but I have been very close a few times. One time I was on a bus heading to Bat Yam from Tel Aviv (Bat Yam is like a suburb) as i got off the bus and headed into the lobby of my friends condo, we heard the explosion. No one was killed except the bomber. The bus driver was hurt but that was all. I have a few stories like this, but that is the life of the living in an area where violence is all over and religious zealots are taking matters into their own hands.
TBH (to be honest) while i was living in Israel I felt safer than i do in my own town while walking down the street. A few times I would strike up a conversation with a person at the local shop (grocery store) and he brought me home for dinner in order to finish our conversation. I would NEVER do this in America, but it felt right at home there.
The violence you see on TV is just that....violence on TV. It is not really the truth as to what is really going on there, but yes it is violent, and things need to change. But it is not to the point where you shouldnt travel there by any means.
