i'm by no means a militant gay man, and i could care less if Lost has any gay characters. but has anyone else noticed this omission? or are there suggestions/implications that i am just missing? just curious!

im not sure what omission means, but the only implication that someone might be gay is when Tom tells kate that she wasnt his type. and i dont even think thats what the writers were implying, so, there arent any gay people thus far

Omission is when you leave something out or fail to include it. A lie by omission would be lying by not saying in the first place. If you cheated on your girlfriend, and didn't tell her you cheated, you would be lying by omission.
I don't know of any gay or lesbian characters, although, we still don't know everything about everyone yet, so we might find out in the future about a homosexual Lostie or Other.

it's so funny that you post this now because i just read something the other night about there being a gay character on the show. it was in one of the podcasts that i was going over so i'll try to find it again and post it here later...if i remember...which i probably will

i remeber him saying she wasn't his type- that raised my eyebrow. and didn't shannon make some flippant remarks toward boone's sexuality? or was that just sibling banter?
if any of the current characters were to turn out to be gay, who do you think it might be? ben?
