The biggest thing about this entire topic of conversation is about how she is "Empty" because she slept with Boone.  What about Boone?  Is he empty too?  I agree, Shannon was shallow, and she was pretty hot too...But why doesn't anyone ever mention the fact of Boone being shallow?

Yes I thought Shannon was shallow. She didn't care about any body else or anybody elses things, only her own. She didn't want to help out with anything, she only wanted to lay there and get a tan, she wanted to get rescued, but didn't want to do anything to get rescued. Granted she wasn't like that the whole time she was on the island (she changed) but she started off that way.

yeah i was going to say that she started out that way but started to change too. otherwise she wouldn't have gone after vincent or carried boone's luggage around after he had died. or do you think she had another reason for that?

I don't think she did that for anything else except for that she missed him and was morning him. i don't think that there wasn't  any selfish reasons for her to do that, she had changed and she was genuinely devastated about Boone.

I don't think the writers really knew what to do with her in the end. I thought her relationship with Sayid was kinda silly and random. The writers knew they had to kill off one of their main characters for the finale and seeing as they had already killed the most useless member of the island they had to turn to his sister. Shannon's death was a sacrifice that the show demanded - cos she was annoyin' as he-ell. There's plenty of eye-candy on the island anyway for you guys.
