I really think that Sawyer is one of the Oceanic 6.
But I think he was the one in the coffin at the end of season 3.
This is because there was no one at his funeral except Jack. Because Sawyer had no friends, or family connections.
And when Kate and Sawyer part, it isn't a happy goodbye. Also Kate loved Sawyer, so when Jack shows her the obituary, she says, "why would I want to see this...?"

So I'm thinking that even though he died, Sawyer is one of them.
We know Jack, Kate, and Hurley. But do Walt and Michael count as the Oceanic 6?
How do we know if they even got back home alright??
I really wish they'd show Walt and Michael.

when the funeral parlor guy asked jack if he was friend or family jack says "neither" and i think he would have considered Sawyer a friend...then there's the whole newspaper clipping thing again that goes against it being Sawyer...because of the name (though it could be a alias) and because it says the person that died was survived by a teenage son...and that he was orginally from New York. So i don't think it can be Sawyer...and he does have a family connection, his daughter Clemintine. Anyway, the other two Oceanic 6 are Sun and Jin.

The dead guy is prolly Michael.  Wasn't he from NY?  Wouldn't Walt be the teenage son?
I think the Oceanic 6 are as follows.....
Jack-----because he's off the island in the flashforward
Kate----because she's off the island in the flashforward
Sun-----she went with Jack
Jin-------he went with Jack
Hurley--because he's off the island in the flashforward
Sawyer (I do think sawyer gets off the island and lives with Kate hence last season when she says she has to go back before he (meaning Sawyer) knows, or something like that.  I think he decides to go after Kate and Hurley goes with him because now that Charlies dead Sawyer is the only one he feels he is close to.
The rest of the people that went with Jack somehow get left beind and end up getting together with Locke.
Jack feels bad tells Kate "We have to go back"
Just a thought.................

Well I dunno if you guys saw the release from the producers but it said that the new man in Kate's life is Aaron. She's taking care of him. Whether or not this is because Claire dies or doesn't leave the island is still unknown. I think that both Kate and Sawyer survive and are living with each other and taking care of the infant Aaron

Yeah, I really don't think that Sawyer gets off the island. Who knows though maybe there is still something that hasn't been spoiled yet.

there's not to much to debate about the six anymore...like Lost N Found said we know that Kate, Jack, and Hurley are all off the island...and then we also know that Sun, Jin, and Sayid make it off the island because in other spoilers we read we learned that Sayid will have his flashforward episode next week and then Sun/Jin will have there's in episode 7. i think aaron will be the plus one.

Sun and Jin weren't kidnapped by the others...

That one time we thought they had tried to drag Sun off into the jungle but it turned out it was just Charlie.

Since she's pregnant they were planning on kidnapping her now though...

Does Ben count?  He wasn't on the flight.  I say no.
Does Claire's baby count? no?
Claire is the one who dies i guess bc Kate was taking care of her baby in the flash forward.
so i think the oceanic 6 is
Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun & Jin? I still think Sawyer is gonna get off though i don't know why but i just do.

Aaron wouldn't count since he wasn't 'on' the flight, the manifest, or even with a ticket. At this time he didn't even have a name, so no one out of the survivors would know about him.
