hi all. its very nice to be here. n_n I am a former lurker. I found this site googling something a while back, got enthralled reading the posts, bookmarked it so I could come back sometime and either lurk or come out of the lurking closet, comp died and then was back to searching for this place again. LOL
so found it, really like it. you have the most quality site I have seen out there so far and very easy to navigate. I watched the season finale tonight, which is what motivated me to discard my lurking status and actually join. ROTFL I can't promise I won't retreat into my lurking ways, as I can be a bit shy, but I will give it a whirl.

I figured out one thing which was bothering me finally, though I don't know if it is possible to put this somewhere so its easy to find-
I put my email status to hide, but it was driving me mad because it was visible to me on my profile, or in posts I have the little email thingy under my name. so I was panicking trying to figure out why it wasn't working. I searched in the help area and didn't see anything about it. I changed it to a different one I use (not my business one that I originally signed up with) and finally *duh* decided to log out and see if it was still visible. and what do you know, POOF, it was hidden. n_n
so, the long and short of it, is there a place that it says more about that kind of stuff? that even if you set your preferences to hide your email and stuff, it still shows up for you in posts and profile summary?

thats because it is yours, that you can see it. I can see my IP address and everything in my posts but that is because it is mine. trust me, it is hidden to all other members. and we dont usually have a problem with spam here even with people that dont have their email addresses hidden

that is good to know. thank you! I have had that problem before with my email addy showing, and then getting spammed like the dickens. LOL. its good to know that my info is secure, and that people here are respectful enough not to abuse the stuff when they can see it.
