I hate time theories, but here is mine...you take the island and move it, landmass and surrounding, from 2004 and it goes to say 2006...well that time between, the island is not there until it reappears in 2006.  So in between all of say 2005, the island is not there...just like the rabbit but with a longer time frame.  So its like the island technically didnt exist in 2005 as it has skipped over that period. Everything involved with the island did not experience any of 2005, unlike the O6 off the island, they instantaneously are in 2006, probably with no idea of what year it is....that could be where Daniel will be involved.

This could be the reason the Black Rock is on the middle of the island in the first place.  The island was once moved, maybe unknowingly by Dharma to when the ship was where the island would move to.   Quite possibly the Others/Hostiles could be those who survived on the Black Rock. Maybe once Dharma realized when the island had moved to, they moved it back to where it needed to be.  Crazy thoughts, i know.

And I just started thinking, that that isnt the real Locke in that coffin.  Im starting to think its some devious plan by Ben to get the O6 back together again, as it might be his only way of getting back to the island.  We know Ben is a manipulative person, and cherishes his possessions, if he feels the island is his, like Alex was his daughter, he would do anything to get it back.

Wow, my head's spinning!  Do you mean the island skips from 2004 to 2006?  Then why would Locke tell Jack that a lot of bad things happened once he left the island if the island automatically skipped two years because there wouldn't really be time for anything to happen?  Know what I mean?  (I don't think I do!  I need to lie down now!)

But I thought that was to illustrate the point that the island is not in the same time as elsewhere?

yeah i think time on the island is a day ahead.  so its like the island is in the future.  thats why the doctor was there early.  because in that island time, the doctor was dead.

Man i have been away for a loooonggg while.....as for the actual time on the island i dont think its soo much as to the island itself being ahead in time.  I wanna say there is an invisible barrier around the island that distorts time.  Think of it like walking into someplace that has 5 doors...door one puts you in exact time with the island, door 2 puts you an hour ahead of where you were, door 3 puts you a day ahead of where you were, door 4 a year, and door 5 maybe puts you a year behind.

So if you dont have the exact bearing(walking thru door 1) you might end up walking thru door 2 and end up being an hour ahead of everyone else.  Does that kind of make sense?

gotta be the real locke in the coffin, i just don't see the writers having that as a fake when it was one of the big questions at the end of season 3 that was answered at the end of 4. Just seems to big a thing to be some kind of fake by Ben. Wow it seems so long since watching lost now.

i compleatly agree..its abt half day almost.. but wait... remember when danial faraday was askin the ship to send a fire signal by gun in the sky when he was setted his things .. and he never got the signal untill later on ..now that confusing if the island was a head from the ship .. did u get what am tryin to say
