Im sorry it has taken me so long to readress this thread. I will do my best to explain this. I have since modified my theroy after further consideration so it may sound slightly different then what I originally described.

What if: Lets say they found a way to make the island time run at a faster speed then regular time. Maybe it is a very slight amount, like one milisec per 24 hours of normal time. On the first day in normal time terms the islands age would actually be 1 day and 1 millisecond, now over the next 24 hours of normal time we gain another milisecond. Thinl about how every 4th year we incorporate a leap year into our calendar to compensate for our inaccurate time measurement as an adjustment. The island does not have that adjustment and over enough will get further and further ahead of our known timeline. So the island could be 12hrs ahead of us and still gaining ground. This is what I was trying to describe earlier.

The doctor however does present a mystery to explain. The only way to explain it that I have come up with is to say that not only is it running at a faster speed but also the time lines between both places are not running in parelle. In other words when something happens on the island the other worlds timeline is lagging behind and has to catch up to what has already happened. This IMO is a flimsy explination of how the dead doctor could wash up on the shore of the island before he is actually killed on the boat. It is unfortunately the only thing I can up with to explain it. Another hole in this theroy is their ability to comunicate with eachother from the island to the boat. OH! brainstorm about their communications. Its an incomplete thought I will have to elaborate on it in a later post. The general gist is when they talk on the radio they are not talking to each other from the same times. the sound waves are actually leaping foward or back respectivly as the waves cross between the regular world and the island. So it creates a lag but seems like they are communicating in real time. Kinda like a phenomia.

As far as the communications part, I totally agree with that....we never see the timeframes in which they are talking from the island to the boat.....even when they did the morse code we cant tell any time difference.

Honestly I think there are two explanations: that there is a barrier around the island that distorts time, which depending on what bearing you reach the island you can travel forward or backwards in time, with an undetermined quantity in "real" time.

And two, the islands time is way off from real worlds time, it certainly seems to be hours off.

All i remember is Faraday constantly saying time is not what you think it is on the island.
