i agree that loads of wars and things have been down to religious disputes and i personally am not religious.  but i do have respect for those that are and that they can believe in something so strongly and i think its only some really hardcore believers that start the violence etc

like i said im anti religious, i dont go around cursing religious people im quite the opposite i just dont get involved im surprised im talking about this here but i must have got caught up in the moment....

 i agree people start wars i mean who else is it?   but its the differences like you said that start the wars in the first place and unfortunately  that leads back to religion

Like you guys now, I'm with nebula on this one, but for other reasons though.
I've learned the psychology behind religion, so I understand it better. Sometimes I feel like I need a religion too.

And I don't think you have a problem with religion. Everyone has his own opinion, and that should be respected. I can see why a big believer would have a problem with your opinion, but if they have, then I'm having a problem with them for disrespecting you and your opinion.
We should all be openminded here, I think it's rather fascinating that we all have other visions on religion. I even want to hear the visions of all the believer we have here, I think everyone has another vision. Like believing in Adam and Eve or something like that. I know religious people who don't believe we come from those 2, but I know some people who do believe it.

And I'm sorry all that stuff happened to you nebula... I don't want to put you in that corner, and I don't think the others want that too .

all as it was, was i responded to a conversation that was about gays then religion then all of a sudden its in a new post indicating i have a problem with it, i dont know maybe i do, this is the longest conversation ive had about it in many years usually i dont get involved.

i understand the concept about god and stuff just like many people, some have good fortune others have bad.
unfortunately apart from having my kids in which we lost 2 children at birth aswell ive been on the receiving end of bad karma for the most part of my life, i suppose we all look for someone else to blame and when there's no one else it must be god thats to blame. so as you can maybe tell i have alot to blame god for hence the reason for my denial.

under no circumstances do i disrespect religion opinions i have many family members who are religious they know how i feel and we all respect each others wishes and opinions

maybe a move of the thread or re name would be a good idea making it a discussion about religion or something

Neb, Things get moved around on here based on how fitting they are to the current topic that's getting posted in. If a topic starts to go in a new direction, for instance, from gays to more of just religion, it makes sense to split it into a new religion thread.

I agree with you on the to each his own thing. I, myself, am a strong Christian, but I do not force people into anything they don't want. Having your own feelings and opinions on religion is perfectly fine, and by making this into its own thread no one ever intended to put you in a corner or single you out. It just happened to be something that fit a new thread better than where it was.

I agree that religion is very much so a touchy topic for many people, an I don't want you to feel bad about your beliefs. Everyone snaps, it's ok. Just try not to take things the wrong way - We'd never single you out or make a spectacle of any individual's beliefs or feelings.

We're here to discuss and share what we all believe and think, so I hope you don't feel offended or singled out anymore!
I really think it's a great thing to talk about stuff like this. How else could we learn about new things? Sharing ideas and beliefs is a great way to grow as well as explore all there is in the world.

As long as posts don't turn into blatant hate acts, I think it is perfectly fine to share what we all think.
