Lol, thank you Crystal, that is what I thought!
In school we could write colo(u)r the way we wanted, they didn't look at it on a test. "It doesn't matter, the one is American the other English". Guess my teachers didn't know either lol.
There are more American then Englishman though..

I bet it would be harder to have to learn both Englishes....Like for instance, in the UK, they don't pronounce the h, and we do most of the time. It's hard to explain to our kids that that "hour" is pronounced "our", and "honest" is "onest", but then "happy" you pronounce the h, and in hand you pronounce the h.....I'm just glad that I learned English before any other language, they say it's the hardest to learn.

I don't think it's hard. I started speaking English when I was like 7. (didn't start with full sentences) It's not that they learned it to me, you hear and see English everywhere! We start to learn English when we're 13, and I was surprised I was one of the few who could understand English pretty well. I had a chatbuddy from the UK since I was 12. My brothers even where younger when we started to play neopets (it's some kid site where you have some pets and stuff.. some of you might of heard about it). I was 12, so they were 9 and 10. They asked me sometimes 'what does that word mean', and we had to use a dictionnary from time to time, but we did play the game, we did chat with people all over the world.
Other then French.. Halve of my country speaks French, they start teaching us French when we're 10 and I've had it until last year, and still I really suck at it! So I had to go with French being the hardest language to learn

I've tried learning other languages...I know some Spanish cuss words, I know how to say I'm hungry in Italian..The only languages that seem to be easy to learn for me are computer languages...

The only language i know is English, like the teacher charles....... Where is Charles? Anyway....
The English language is the hardest t learn, as we use too many nouns, adjectives, and crap like that, that all mean the same thing. I know things like honest are spelt that way, but we do pronounce them onest. It's weird.

i was just thinking about today, how lucky i am to live in america, know a hard language, live in a middle class home, and not live in a third-world country. The only language i would like to learn besides english is icelandic, because i heard its the second hardest to learn besides english
